Bio:
Angela “Nike” Sutton is member of Witnesses to Hunger who lives with her two children just northeast of Philadelphia, PA. A veteran member of Witnesses, Angela is a highly sought-after public speaker and advocate who speaks truth to power by sharing the challenges she has faced in her life—she has experienced many kinds of violence, and she was homeless as a teenager. Angela has become a leader for change with Witnesses to Hunger, notably as a featured speaker at the Philadelphia Women’s March in 2017. She has also been featured in various publications sharing her personal story. In 2017, Angela became an intern at the Center for Hunger-Free Communities, providing administrative and organizational support for Witnesses to Hunger.
