Cafe Conversations: Race, Gender, and Poverty

On Saturday, March 4, 2017, Witnesses to Hunger launched a new community forum series, “Cafe Conversations” at The EAT Cafe in West Philadelphia. The goal of these forums is to engage the community in conversations about poverty, brainstorm practical actions and solutions, and network with other individuals and organizations whose goals include ending hunger and poverty.

Our panel featured a dynamic group of women who shared their knowledge and expertise, leading the audience in a lively discussion about how poverty disproportionately affects women of color.
