On April 21, 2017, members of the Philadelphia community gathered at Calvary United Methodist church to share their experiences and concerns about proposed cuts to SNAP, Medicaid, and housing subsidies. Each panelist shared her experiences and urged the Senator to support people like her.

Tianna Gaines-Turner, member of Witnesses to Hunger, was among the panelists and she shared her experiences and thoughts with the Senator and the group.
